I accidentally stumbled on Ben Stein on Glenn Beck's show between periods of hockey (go Wings!) last night.

    It made my brain sad.

Admittedly I only watched it in 30 second chunks, and could barely take that.

Still what I was able to gather from the discussion was that Nazis still equal Darwin fanatics and therefore that's what any liberal in this country can be equated to.

And what qualifies Ben Stein to tell us these things is that he's funny and is good with economics...

My stance on this has always been that Ben Stein is just the biggest celebrity the right can use for their propaganda, regardless of what the topic may be.

But in the same show he was joking about how he's part of the elite (which is why Obama and Hillary are bad, mind you) but he's a Republican so it's ok.

He also claimed that he's the celebrity that has spent the most time visiting troops at Walter Reed instead of just talking about it. That may very well be true, but that really suggests to me that, like what I think you were suggesting on this episode, yeah, there's a lot of good about Ben Stein and maybe he didn't really make the best decision with this movie and is going to come to realize it more and more.

I also think that it's important to remember that the majority of the religious right who his movie is aimed at, aren't going to care about what he has to say because he's a Jew. I know I've said that before, not sure if it was here though.

Still, to be fair to Ben Stein....he didn't really seem like he wanted to talk all that much about the movie and the Nazis...but Glenn Beck kept forcing it in that direction so he could take cheap shots at anyone on the left.

I really hate Glenn Beck because he openly admits on his show to not knowing anything about anything....but he's still right about it all. I think that makes him worse than Bill O'Reily, even if he's not as well known.

He also called Michigan and Florida Democratic voters losers because they had their chance and are now whining that things didn't go their way. Yeah...I'm a loser because of a stupid decision that none of us had any say in.

Oh well, I've been called worse.

    :-)
